The Fortezza Duralite is 18% lighter than standard racing tires (195 grams in 700x25 size), but also features a layer called Sportex Protection Layer (SPL).
This system guarantees all the advantages of a lightweight, high-performance tyre, while reducing the risk of punctures to the same level as a heavier version.
Lower rolling resistance and improved grip are due to the 150 TPI casing, combined with a new, durable compound that ensures long life.
Furthermore, its elliptical contour gives it optimal aerodynamic properties.
In short, this model is light and fast and lasts longer than comparable tires.
